Sling TV’s Fan Freakout Zone
The ask was to create a national TV spot to increase Sling activations for March Madness (without actually saying March Madness). This is when Sling’s Fan Freakout Zone was born. To keep Sling top of mind during one of the most exciting annual sports tournaments, we tapped into the universal experiences fans have while watching and created an imaginary facility where fans could go to freak out about basketball.
Results
At launch we hit 38,000 same day activations (compared to a weekly average of 45,000) and numbers from this campaign are still coming in.
The Content
Our national TV spot ran as a :30 on various networks while shorter cut downs ran in paid social.
