As a freelance writer working primarily in advertising, my role is to create compelling and persuasive content that captures the attention of potential customers and motivates them to take action. This includes writing copy for a wide variety of marketing materials, such as website pages, email campaigns, social media posts, print ads, and product descriptions. I also write the occasional gear review or trip report for various outdoor industry publications.

Backpacker Radio is The Trek’s flagship podcast boasting over 2 million downloads. I helped the hosts with show logistics, social media management, content creation, guest outreach, and research. I even co-hosted a few episodes including this one about beginner backpacking mistakes. 

 

THRU-HIKER/BLOGGER

CONTINENTAL DIVIDE TRAIL | MEXICO – CANADA | APRIL 2022 – SEPTEMBER 2022

I spent the summer of 2022 backpacking 2,700 miles from Mexico to Canada along the continental divide through New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming, Idaho and Montana. I documented the entire experience through my personal blog on Instagram and created a video series of the journey on youtube.

PACIFIC CREST TRAIL | MEXICO – CANADA | MAY 2019 – OCTOBER 2019

In 2019, I spent five months living in a tent and walking over 2,400 miles from Mexico to Canada. During my journey, I blogged for The Trek, an outdoor content platform focused on thru-hiking.
